I've been back at school for two full weeks and it's been such a blast! I have two fun new teammates: a super-organized West Texas girl, and an infant teacher (23 years old, people...) across the hall from me. They are joining our little team of four and we all get along really well!
My class is super-cute and once they learn to raise their hands and not follow me around like ants all day, we are all going to get along just fine! I love this time of the year: full of hopes and goals and new beginnings- if only there weren't so many assessments!
Now, for the apology: I had every intention of posting pictures of my classroom last week, but life happened and the pictures never did. Hopefully, I will make time this week; I can't wait to share my cool thrift-store finds (think potterybarn) and the kid favorite- the bright red couch!
So, I was perusing facebook tonight to get updated on all of the crazy wildfires surrounding us (prayers go out to all affected- scary time) and I discovered my friend and former colleague finally got her teaching blog going! I'd love it if you'd head over to her new blog and leave her some love! It's brand-spanking new, but she is super creative and I can't wait to see what she has in store! Katherine teaches third grade at the school where I taught before my current one.
